Why Joy Matters

On A Mission To Help You Discover Joy

Hello there! I’m Dr. David Carolan. I am a pastor, advisor, researcher, and coach focused on exploring how joy catalyzes spiritual formation and discipleship.

With nearly 30 years in executive leadership and coaching, I apply the Life/Maturity and Intimacy Counseling models to provide effective support. My goal is to offer you valuable insights into how love and joy are the two priorities of God for Christian flourishing.

How do we get filled with joy and share it?

Over the years, I’ve witnessed firsthand how cultivating sustained joy not only enriches our lives but empowers us to become vessels of God’s love.

But the truth is, you can’t just tell someone how to be joyful; you have to show them how to do it after you experience His love and joy yourself.

Joy Isn't A Luxury — It’s A Necessity

Joy comes from the experience of God’s love. When coaches, caregivers, and leaders embrace this, they can supernaturally deliver joy to their clients.

“Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus”

By living in alignment with these principles, you tap into inner strength and wisdom. But without leaning into God for joy, you risk missing what God is saying. This can unintentionally bring biases into your caregiving, potentially leading to unethical practices.

Your Invitation to a Deeper Journey

And that’s why I’m here – to guide individuals and groups on their journey to greater joy in both their personal and professional life.

The most transformative aspect of this journey lies in the joy it brings to our relationships. That is why we have built a community where you can connect with others who are also seeking to deepen their walk with Christ.

Inside the Joy Restart Community, you will find:

  • Encouragement: Connect with others seeking to deepen their walk.

  • Practical Tools: Access upcoming classes and coaching sessions.

  • Deep Resources: A library bridging biblical truth with brain science.

I encourage you to register, introduce yourself, and start exploring the resources we have waiting for you.

Take the next steps in finding joy!
